Two: The rest of them are live recordings tha don't exist on a commercially produced album. Quick note on the "Live bootlegs" legality issue. Bootlegs are in fact infringement of copyright. Specifically the right of performance and the right /not/ to release a copyrighted work. By distrib...

[snip snip] Why are the figures different? And if Saddam gets credits that "can be redeemed for food, medicine and other items of humanitarian aid" how is he misusing them? I believe the UN inspectors and the US administration claimed he was selling the humanitarian good in the local Mid....

Well if that's your criteria, when are you planning on dealing with Zimbabwe? I'm defending US policy with regard to Iraq, not US policy everywhere. That said, last year was a year too late in my book. Of course, the Bush administration doesn't seem to agree with me. Yeah, that might be true, but y...

Double checking the numbers...Okay, some corrections to my previous post. The data only extends up to 2000, so no numbers on 2001 and 2002 CD prices. Okay, in 1996 778.9 million CDs were shipped at a dollar value of 9,934.7 million. Some quick math gets us a value of 12$ per cd. So I was low by 2 do...

Answer: Female (when there was one :) slept on the left side of the bed. Reason: I'm deaf in my left ear, and if I sleep on my right side I can't sleep cause I can hear my heartbeat (dont' ask). Also I move a lot, so relegating me to the far right side of the bed minimized the amount I would've take...

To reply to the question of CD prices, I did some research into this a few months ago and going by the RIAA published numbers CD prices hit a low in '96 at 10$ a CD. Ever since then they've gone up steadily to a current average retail price of 14$. At the same time the number of CDs being shipped st...

Just some observations of my own: 1) The Chinese Communist Party, and when you're talking about China that's what you're really talking about, has felt that its best interest lies in whatever isn't in the interest of the USA for quite a while now. Except where technology transfer is involved, they'r...

Having done quite a bit of camping along the NC portion of the Appalachians, I was quite surprised by the number of bars within hiking distance of trails. However, the number I would actually want to go into would be much closer to the number I think you're expecting. ;)
