I picked up a copy at Gen Con a couple years ago on a whim, though I never got around to really trying it out... What I really want is a decent, but very basic and very easy to use overland mapper. The 2nd Edition AD&D CD Rom set that had all the core books and such on them came with a great map...

Daybreak killed me... I loved that show. I'm hoping they release it on DVD because they had all 13 episodes in the can before it aired. They likely will. The remaining episodes were available online (And via various Torrent sites). If you haven't watched them, do so. Pretty decent, and they even ma...

Again, the second half of the season changed tone completely. The last three episodes, for example, have set the stage for a rather brutal war between Jerhico and a neighboring town over farmland and salt. I'd written it off after the third episode as well, and watched the pickup after the break ba...

I even have a few 'drekkers in there. I only saw most of them at the beginning of the con, and some at the very end on Sunday :(

What RPGs are you/do you want to play these days?

Just an informal poll here. See what everyone's been up to. Me, I'm playing a very wonked out D&D 3.5 game. The wonk is fun, the D&D, not so much. Had an SR4 game going for a bit, but the GM took it in some wierd directions that didn't suit my character, and a couple other players had been b...

I don't get why people keep recommending Bulldrek as a substitute for the DSF Lounge. Well, the way I see it, then, you have two options: 1. Don't babysit the sqabbles. It serves no purpose, if you don't care about the Lounge anyway. Well, unfortunatly this lends itself to a couple problems, I think. The first is that most people can't "self regulate". I will always mainta...

Jestyr: I'be attempted to break it down before, but basically, it's this. Gen Con has several core "slots" that games get run within: 8-12, 10-2, 12:30-4:30, 2:30-6:30, and 7-11. Shorter games or longer games fit as best as they can within those slots. Because of the number of GMs involved...
