It's not really okay with me that anything is banned. Generally speaking, I hate bans. I think they're always a short-sighted fear-based reaction, and are pretty much universally the wrong decision if that decision is meant to be permanent. Anything? So it's ok if I play around with weaponizing my ...

And since you will miss doses, the only way to avoid it is to remember what will happen when you do, and be extra-careful to manage your emotions. You still have to be responsible for your behavior, not the medication. It's hard. Along those lines, when you are about to fly off the handle, take a m...

I bought mine for $5 at a yardsale - don't know the retai...

Shadowrun Returns
I'm sure you've all heard of this but it's pretty cool they've got a kickstarter that's going to be funded for a Shadowrun video game. 26 thousand supporters and 1.2 million raised so far. Jason Weisman comes off very charismatic in the video. In some ways, the game sounds rather backwards so I'm no...

Have you seen the Raspberry Pi? For $35, you get a credit card sized computer. It's really bare bones, you need to supply an SD card for memory, USB powersource, keyboard, and monitor/TV - but many people have those lying around. It doesn't even have a case. Only 256 mb ram. But it apparently has tw...

It's really kind of shocking how much of an idiot Rick Santorum is. The fact that some people are somehow not embarrassed to be represented by him is pretty sad. It's funny that he lost his senate seat by 18 points, one of the largest losses ever for an incumbent senator. If he can't pull off his h...

Dark Days, the 4th book in the Skullduggery Pleasant series. My 12 year old daughter started reading them and I read them a bit after she does, though she has already finished book 5 as she has more time to read. In some ways, it's standard urban fantasy, magic has always existed in secret behind th...

The thing I've noticed with frozen meat is it affects the moisture content. I think the freezing bursts many of the cells so they don't retain moisture. Where this comes up the most is when I'm fryign burgers from fozen meat - quite a bit of water comes out and keeps the temp too low at first to get...

Vision is limited but the group has a good bearing a...
