I can vote, buy the occasional cigar and enjoy the ability of being able to roam free and not be dragged in for the little people curfew law.

I've come to the conclusion that the best gift for someone's 18th birthday is a slice of pecan pie and a damn nice hug. For breakfast, I had a slice of pecan pie and a good, bear-y hug and for late-night outing, I had the same thing.

I'm not much of a fan of presents. I'm terribly cheap when it comes to people spending money on me. I'm content much more in the little things than in the big things. Big, expensive presents send me scurrying off into corners. Give me a slice of pie that's $1.65 and I'll be content for weeks on end.

Also, in the rise of my 18th year, I have somehow contrived for myself a southern accent. The south has finally gotten to me. Blame it on their damn good pie.
