Btw, that is pretty good...2 km. What strokes did you use?
I'm not sure what they're called in English. Hang on...

...alright, I looked it up; breaststrokes and front crawl.

That is pretty good for 2km (assuming no resting on the wall). Neither of those strokes are resting strokes.

Hmmm, it doesn't seem like such a great achievement, considering some of the (much faster) swimmers at the pool. :/

Well, duh. No one can keep up that pace for long. :cyber:

That's why the side stroke, side crawl, back stroke, and elementary backstroke were invented. Watch the other swimmers sometime and you'll see that it's just like running. You have your sprinters, your long distance runners, and the people that alternate between jogging and sprints.

Out of all the people I know, my father, you and Sam are probably the most experienced swimmers out there, so I'll take your word for it. :)

Were the words "Death March" used at any point?

Posted: Mon Jun 11, 2007 9:46 am

No, but she was in need of a hot bath afterwards, though, which was as clear to me as "death march" would've been. :D

Yeah...when I got home, Mayor McNeedy wanted to lick my face and what started as a 10 minute shower (to get the bug spray off) ended up becoming an hour long bath and 4 hour long nap.

Oooohhhh. Having lunch outside on a nice day is one of the things I really miss working the grave shift.

Yeah, it's definitely something that can make your day. Though it should totally be forbidden by the employers, taking into account how you tend to prolong it and then prolong it some. :)

The repair of the steering wheel of my bike took a professional 2 minutes this morning (while I've been dragging my feet to go there, afraid I'm gonna be devoid of my main transportation mean). :D

I made my boss all giggly bouncy (well endowed and mid to late 20's) when the VP in charge of the entire department (2 levels above her) complimented me on how fast I am settling into my new job.

Very beautiful country. And very, very big when driving across the plains. To quote Eva when the sun came up and we were driving back to the US border, 'Wow, this land is so big."

by Heavy_D
I'm trying to prepare for that, but even then I think I'll still be amazed about the sheer size of that country :)

Oh you can see pics of it, but the only way to experience the vastness of it all is to go out there and see both the blue sky and the grasses extend to the horizon and keep on going.

I obtained a 1997 VW Jetta project car, which will be converted to an electric vehicle at some point. However, I plan to drive it as-is for a while.
