I hate that the only people who ought to wear nice dresses can't ever find ones that fit them because shops never stock size 6. Grrrrrrrr. I almost had gorgeous formal dress bought for me today, but it was way too big. Now I have nothing to wear for a formal on the 11th.

It would ruin it. I'd litterally have to cut a whole heap of material out. But we're ringing the manufacturers because I'm sure their models wear size 6 so they must make them.

And what's wrong with the 'feminine ideal'? I love my body.

Oh.. Joy.. A second subset to my original "hate"

I HATE Dell Tech Support. I HATE Dell in general. I HATE Windows. I HATE Microsoft. I HATE anything produced by Microsoft (with the exception of MS Office 4) since DOS 2.11. I HATE the fact that since it's got market share, Microsoft is an 800-fucking-ton gorrilla.

I've got a broken machine. This is nothing new, it's what I do. It's a Dell, which means the hardware is all proprietary, which means I can't run down to my favorite "it-fell-off-the-boat" asian-run hardware store and replace it for about $50, tops (No, it's not really like that, but it's really cheap, and run by these taiwanese people).

No... I have to call Dell and have them fix it. It's a broken/dying/pooched harddrive, so I can't fix it. Since it's proprietary, it's impossible to get local support (I tried). So I called Dell to get them to replace the thing (it's under warranty). They feighned ignorance, then 'accidentally' hung up on me. Fuckin' A!

So I call back, and get a forigen call-center, who'se first language isn't English, so we have a failure to communicate (Operator doesn't understand me, I don't understand him...curse my public education). Somehow I get put on hold again, then bounced into the Sales call-menu. I explain to the person who picks up that I'm trying to return something, and that I was talking to tech-support before i somehow wound up in the sales department. She calls up the information on my machine, and then tells me "I can't take it back if it's been beyond 30 days". I explain (again) that I want to return for merchandise, not credit, and she exclaims "Oh.. you want Tech Support". "I was just talking to them before I wound up here" "Oh, i'm sorry, I guess I should have paid more attention before, when you were explaining that. Let me transfer you."

So I get placed on hold and transferred again. "Welcome to Dell Mobile Support: For your laptop, press one.. for your projector, press two... for your thin-client, press three....<repeat>".
