Here's something that should be instantly recognizable to most people.
Mahnamahna!
(For those who want explanation of their links, it's a video clip of the Muppets' original performance of the now-famous song.)

The pink ones aren't cool enough for improvised vocal jazz.

Eh, they're backup singers. And also, The Muppets were the first ones to 'phone in' a performance.

Ahhhhhh, the Muppet Show. I hope I don't get the vehicle at work that's missing the radio. I'll be humming this damn song the entire night then.

Dude, just replace it with the talking stalagmites and stalagtites from the Alice Cooper episode, you'll be okay.

What about 'Rainbow Connection' or 'Hope Somethin' Better Comes Along'
Failing those, go Fraggle Rock.

Oh come on woman! Animal by
far was the best Muppet of them all. I think that lack of ozone layer down there has finally affected you.

Animal, cool though he is, is the favorite muppet of small children and the unwashed masses. He's the favorite of those who are only casual viewers of the show. His crass behavior and pseudo-rebel/anarchist attitude make an easy sell that appeals to those of limited intellectual ability. He is Cookie Monster. He is the Tasmanian Devil. He appeals base vaudevillian pratfall tastes in all of us, and he is only surpassed in his crude pandering by the Swedish Chef. Gonzo, of course, is only saved from this fate by the fact that he fucks chickens, and anyone who fucks chickens has to be cool.

Oh trust me. My sisters SO is a professional Jazz musician, some of the stuff in his music collection- Beaker would fit in just fine.

Not really.
Joins in for some stomping and then makes a couple drum kits out of Bethy skin. Highly rare, bit like cat gut violin strings.
