To Igloo or not to Igloo

In the SST forum, users are free to discuss philosophy, music, art, religion, sock colour, whatever. It's a haven from the madness of Bulldrek; alternately intellectual and mundane, this is where the controversy takes place.

To Igloo or not to Igloo

Post by Jackal »

The question to which I ponder on this late evening, morning if you wish to be technical, is this. Shall I keep the Igloo as my icon or shall I design a new symbol to represent myself on the great and glorious bulldrek.com?

Yeah, something like a disco-igloo would be nice...

You could do a whole lot. The punk igloo, the death metal igloo, the britneypop igloo (complete with plastic reshaped and engineered blocks), the lounge singer igloo, the angsty rock ballad igloo... the possibilities are endless.

You scare me Jes. :D

I'll see what I can come up with. I have no real artistic skill.

Personally, I think the igloo rocks. It also looks especially nice with the rest of the colors here.

It's one of those avatars that sticks out, in my mind. The best example of that is Lektro; her posts manage to completely stick out, because the sig and the avatar are color-coordinated, and they manage to do that without looking totally out-of-place.

And because it's bright yellow. On a board of dark blues and blacks and greys, that's kinda sticky-outy. :)

Disco Balls are scary. Not to mention boring. Stobs and beat lights, now those are the way to go ;)

"Stobs?" Do you mean "strobes?" They are definitely the way to go. Apparently, you can use them to paralyze vampires in Shadowrun.

You've just got to remember to buy a stake from the old shaman that runs the Talismongers in Old-town to finish 'em off with afterwards. *Sigh* Memories. :)

I spent far too long with that game. Loved every minute of it, but spent far too long.

Once you get all the spells, you are godlike.

Cazmonster sets his volitional chrome fur to 'discoball' and jams out to Celebration.

No way dude, once you get the Wired Reflexes and Dermal Armour, then you're godlike. Is it sad of me if I still play the game on a regular basis? :)

I think this is the game I spent the most time playing...ever.

I even found out that when you kill Ed, at Ed's Patch-n-Fix, after he activates the Cortex Bomb, a bunch of cyberware doesn't become available to you later in the game. Also, Andersen, one of the shadowrunners you are able to hire, has a skill unarmed combat, all the other skills are somehow learnable or acquirable...except for that one. That pisses me off.

Now I'm almost wishing I'd ever owned some kind of console machine, so I could have had a chance at it being a SNES, so I might have played Shadowrun.

Legos rularmo?

I don't get it.
One time I built a matter transporter, but things got screwed up (long story, lol) and I ended up turning into a kind of half-human, half-housefly monstrosity.
