The Taste of Beer

Post by Brian »

... or spirits, or what it is you drink. I've developped quite a taste for liquor lately and I'm just looking to see what it is that Bulldrekkers' drink. My list is to come in a later post.

What is your TOP 5 drinks?

1.Tom Collins (tastes like lemonade, plus it sounds a bit sophisticated when you order it.)
2.Tequila Sunrise (this plus the song is very relaxing. There's also a story behind it, but You Had To Be There.)
3.Margaritas (Also a song, plus who doesn't like an alcoholic slurpee?)
4.Hard Cider (This is my beer)
5.Bacardi Breezers (One more for the slurpees)

Me? Drink? Never.

Post by Brineshrimp »

Okay, so I drink...a lot.

I tried cuttnig back, but I just couldn't concentrate on anything else. I'm for lack of a better word "hooked." Dare I say, "addicted"?

Anyway, here's my top 5 (not in any particular order):

1. Beer. Not Diet Bud, Miller, or any of that micro-brew crap they call beer. (Note: If that's all that's available, I will drink it.) I'm talking Guinness (gotta love stouts), Labatt, Paulander Hefwiessen(sp?), etc. Stuff that lets you know where your money went.

2. Jameson. Mmm...Irish whiskey.

3. Any cognac. Mmm...cognac and a good cigar.

4. Tella, err, Telamor, oh Christ. I don't know how to spell it. It's more Irish whiskey.

5. Red wine, especially of the merlot variety. (Unless you send 32 and Eva to get it. They take forever to return. Hell, if you send them to get wine, just hand them some grapes. By the time they get back the grapes will be well into the fermentation process.) ;)
This is my signature. Enjoy

Knob Creek. Mmmmmm.

Long Island Ice Teas, the only alcoholic drink I could get away with when my mom came to visit.("Why aren't you drinking Lipton, son?" "This just tastes better.")

Magaritas made at home, with nothing to do and nowhere to go.

Rain Vodka

I don't drink that often. Can't afford it.

Top 5 alcaholic beverages... Hmmmm...

1. Beer: any good beer; Heineken, Liene's, Guiness, Skullsplitter, Killians...

2. Wop: a mixture of fruit (always w/watermelon), more fruit, and vodka/everclear

3. Johny Jump-up, Irish Courtship, IRA Carbomb: Either irish beer, or cider, with a shot of baileys, and jameson in it.

4. Sex on the beach: Just fun at parties, no one can serve themselves, and plenty of lewd comments/innuendos.

5. Absinth: Nothing better than getting trashed, and tripping bawls...

Lets see... College is great, because you can almost always get what you want, so long as you have the money for it.

1) Orgasmic Sex on the Beach with a Fat Ho on a Bike. ( It doesn't sound real, mostly because it's a series of mixed drinks. First, two shots of Orgasm [The recipe we have states: 1 1/2 oz Vodka, 1 1/2 oz Triple Sec, 1 splash lime juice, 1/2 tsp sugar] followed immediately by a highball glass of Sex on the Beach [1 oz Vodka, 3/4 oz Peach Schnapps, 1/2 fill cranberry juice, 1/2 fill grapefruit juice] followed closely by a Fat Ho on a Bike [I'd place the recipe, but the damn site that we always get it from {Mixed-Drink.com} isn't playing this morning.] The key to this strange concoction is that all three [Four?] drinks have to go down quickly. Down both shots, kill the high-ball, and do some serious damage to the Ho at the very least. Makes for some funny occurrances when all that alcohol finally hits them.)

2) Bailey's Irish Cream. Hands down, it's the shit

3) College Improv Screwdriver. Proportions? What's that got to do with it?

4) Rum and Coke - Have yet to try this with Vanilla Coke

5) Jack Daniels Firing Squad- Our name for it. 8-10 shots of Jack lined up on the bar/table. As fast as you can do as many as you can. You kill them, or they kill you.

Holy hell, Tom Collins is the most god-awful drink! I had one this past weekend because a friend decided that I needed to have a mixed drink instead of more beer...it was not at all plesant. That drink is all about gin, and with the hollidays kicking up, the pine cented candles and fresh greens reminded me of the nastyness from the night before. Blek!

Nawww... Not black russians, not white russians, it's all about the calorado :p bulldike :p

Calorado bulldike = 1 1/2 oz. Vanilla vodka, 1 1/2 oz. Kahlua, 1/2 oz. creme, 1/2 oz. Vanilla Coke.

(it's a calorado bulldog, but with added :aww vanilla :aww )

Best part is that you can drink these all night, and they stay good as long as you wish to drink (fucked up as you may get...) A shot of esspresso doesnt' hurt at all either... I call that a calorado junkie... :crack

The right way to make a 3-Wise Men is: Jack Daniels, Johnny Walker, and Jim Beam (not Jose). Some bars who lack all three suppliment Jose for Jim. Damn them.
