Are, again, going to suck ass. I want to find the people in the Academy and kick the shit out of them for not giving Andy Sirkis a chance at Best Supporting Actor. I know he wouldn't win anyway, but damn, you could give the guy a shot.

Well look at it this way, LotR is nominated for best picture. And they are the only nominated movie for best picture that made more than $100M.

Cazmonster grumbles and knows that the entirety of the academy is a bunch of dried out hacks who could never make a movie as good as Two Towers.

FWIW, general consensus is that TTT was never going to get it. If the critics didn't give the award to FOTR last year, they'd save it for ROTK next year and "honor the whole trilogy at once".

The critics need repeated kickings in tender parts of their anatomy. If all three movies kick the shit out of every other movie in the year (and they have) then all three movies need tons of awards.

Tom friggin' Hanks kicked the shit out of everybody two years in a row and he got two Oscars. The disheveled Kiwi deserves the same treatment.
