Right, I have been gone awhile.

All I can say is I am sorry.

I have a slew of excuses but what it boils down to is that I suck.

Recovering from detached retina surgery now, but I am at work again. I play an assload of WoW and pretty much don't do a lot. I try to have as many parties as possible still (when not looking at the floor all the time) and still think about all of you constantly.

I hope everyone is well and enjoying life at its fullest.

So, how have you all been?

I manage an arcade, I'm getting ready to move into my first apartment and I have time at work to practice my sleight of hand, time at home to practice my stained glass and my organs are all intact. Life looks good.

What happened to your retina to cause it to detatch?

Life is a roller coaster. I want to ride it all night long. Or something.

Well, the best we can figure (since there was a /lot/ of scar tissue) is this is the aftermath from a punch I took at a tournament a couple years back. I did a blitz attack, the guy freaked out and punched me in the eye.

Just took a long time to finally detach enough for me to notice.

I had severe issues with my high school, didn't go to graduation. I did one show where I fell due to the stupidity of a director and now have scars on both of my legs. I'm damn lucky I didn't break a rib or get a concussion. I did another show where I was a lead dancer, met my current boyfriend, and forged a series of friendships that will last a lifetime. The director told me that I'm coming back to do another show next summer. This is a good theatre group, rather well known around Long Island, and having produced about 5 recognizable actors. Then I came to college which I promptly decided not to do again, and have determined that, at least for next semester, I'll be working at the Target near my house full-time and auditioning for shows across LI and into the city. I'm hoping to get into a show in the city and get my EQUITY card so I can do naught but shows for the rest of my life.

Wow, I really go into detail.
Welcome back, man.

Running in circles mostly, trying to be an escapist while my sense of responsibility has me firmly tethered. Letting go of a lot of things for my own good and trying not to feel guilty, wondering what I can afford to do to make some new friends locally.

Cheyenne Symphony gig started two weeks ago. First Jazz/Bluegrass/Old-timey fiddle/cello (Yes we're that ecclectic) gig saturday. Four students of my own. Two at a 'school of music' (which is really just Italian for 'I a take-a your money, you-a do the work.') Oh, and crap job at nights. That's putting me close to the fifty/sixty hours a week work week.

I start a new job on Monday, no more Damon's!!! It's a family restaurant, I'll be running the kitchen. Developing new catering menus, new soups, new appetizer menus, sanitation procedures, all that jazz. Plus hiring/discipline of employees, and all the usual restaurant bullshit. But I get to cook, and cook /my/ food. It'll be nice. Only got a couple mroe surgeries to go. :P Try as you will, IC, you can never catch me. :D

Moved into our new house over a week ago. Still living out of boxes, though. :)

I'm 4 1/2 weeks into the school year. The time is flying. We're already planning for mid-terms. Man, I barely know what I'm teaching tomorrow, let alone months in advance.

Other than that, not much. Glad to see you're alive.
