Posted: Mon Jan 19, 2004 3:04 am
by Serious Paul
All of the OOC for all the Solo Adventures will be here-there will be three of them:
  • Gyro, Grudge, and "Baby C" will be starring in California Dreamin'.
  • Black will be the star of Hole in One.
  • Geist and Insomniac jack will the stars of Things that go Boo.
Each of these adventures will be independent of the group as a whole, but you can work together or aid each other. they will take place outside our normal campaign, and will occur simultaneously.

3278 you can start California Dreamin' if I don't first with your post about your modifications, or add it to that once I get the thread up.

These adventures are essential to the overall campaign storyline, but mainly this is a chance to showcase each character.

Questions so far?

I started off California Dreamin'. I'll finish up Grudge's activities as soon as I figure out exactly what I'm getting done.

Well as of right now my timeline require him to be out of surgery by July 4th, which in our campaign timeline means you have about 18 days. Let me know if this a problem.

Okay things that go Boo is open for Epsilon and Insomniac Jack. Hole in One is open for Universe man.

I realize Jack and Monster 01's internet is down, so I don't expect this to take off at light speed.

All Out of Character Questions or comments should be directed here.

Okay for the month of Febuary the following dates are good for me to play:
  • Febuary 12th, a Thursday
  • Febuary 19th, 20th or 21st
  • Febuary 27th thru 29th.
Pick any two dates and let me know, as well as making sure the rest of the group knows.

Paul & Earl, what is all this talk about Bulldrek? I didn't have time to read about, "the future of Bulldrek", post...thing. Just wondering? It sounds to the average reader like politics, which is usually a lot more hot air than anything.

Sorry about not posting as much lately guys, but because of the weather I haven't been able to get to the school.

Well, if one of you could get back to me and let me know about the "Bulldrek thing" that would be great.

Don't worry too much about it; I just resigned as the administrator of the board, and we're just voting to see if I get replaced by a committee [good] or one poor sucker [bad]. It won't effect you in any way, except maybe that my penis will be larger and you will bellow with joy.

I just got all of Grudge's cyberware upgrades figured out - with much calculator and shoehorning action - so I'll start writing up the end of my first post, which I'll just edit in later. Until the violent action really gets started, none of the stuff I got will matter anyhow; I don't suddenly have more horns or a third arm or anything.

by Gyro
What upgrades did you get? The Cadillac or the Rolls Royce. I haven’t been able to look over the upgrades for Gyro yet but I will soon. I'm not sure if I'll do a post like yours or just verbalize it.

I got all my cyber replaced with betaware - because I was pretty close to running out of essence - upgraded my wired reflexes, got a little more bioware, and fixed the stuff I'd messed up when I made him; for instance, before, I had Wired Reflexes [1] and Synaptic Accelerator [1], which don't work together. Me dumb. :)

Gyro gets extra karma for making /me/ laugh out loud again. That's an incredible post, dude.

Heh. He still has me stumped, I have no fucking clue as to how Lynch is going to react. :lol

Posted: Fri Jan 30, 2004 6:28 pm
by 3278
One thing I'll want to insert into my first post is some conversation with Lynch, and so as to avoid confusion now, let's get the basics out of the way. The one other thing I'll be picking up is some new weaponry. If you don't mind, Paul, I'll be getting some custom hardware from the Cannon Companion [as soon as I get ahold of a copy]. It'll be coming in crates. Big violent troll-sized crates.

Posted: Fri Jan 30, 2004 6:29 pm
by 3278
Well, what do you know: there's the Cannon Companion. Oh, and my calculator...

Posted: Fri Jan 30, 2004 6:45 pm
by 3278
What. The. Fuck.

This firearms design thing is completely fucked up. No one in the world can build a light machine gun that's designed to be easily broken down?

Sir, permission to revise the firearms design rules with reference to Raygun's site and the theories of physics as we know them?

And if it turns out to be that what I want to do, I can't afford to do, would you consider doing a high-payment, high-risk solo run in person some afternoon or evening?

Posted: Fri Jan 30, 2004 7:43 pm
by Serious Paul
Heartily granted-Anyone wishing to suppliment the game with Raygun's rules is more than welcome. If you need any books let me know. I will be online for at least another half hour, otherwise just call me.

Looks like I should have everything I need. It also looks like I might redesign the very nature of the assault rifle, which would be fun.

Okay a few things-someone can get Lynch out of there, I can't stop laughing. Also I need a complete copy of Grudge-well everyones characters at some point.

Also Gyro-the dates above? Any progress? I will be calling you today.

No really we are kind of waiting on the others, you two are doing just fine. As a sidenote all of the Syber Sychoes are invited to my birthday bash-we are starting off at Bennigans on 28th Street (The East end) at 1800, and then from there who knows...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. My wife has reminded me that we are going on our annual sky trip with the Gnewkowski family on weekend of the 21st. This means that I can’t come to your birthday party and I can’t role-play either. This really sucks, but wait it gets worse; I am also going to be gone for a snowmobile trip, with Karen’s friend, the next weekend as well. Ok Paul kill me now! I won’t be able to role-play or hang out both weekends you have selected for the massacre of our team. I should have consulted the boss before agreeing. I’m truly sorry, and wish there was a way to make it happen “caz shit I just want to play!” I did talk to the boys about playing and they didn’t seem to want to without me…I think you scare them Paul, ha ha. They might change their mind just call them.

Gyro, D.O.A. caz he's M.I.A

So I await news in my evil lair!!!!!

Paul, does that mean your schedule's free Sunday? Time-free and kid-free? 'Cause we could do breakfast, and talk some gaming, and finish off your machine so you could take it home. Wouldn't make a bad birthday gift. [Almost as good as the other two.]

Paul,

Just wondering if you have figured out what Gyro had gotten from our last run. You know from all those beautiful bikes and all! I have already subtracted the 30,000 for Face’s services and bonus. So with the 25,000 from Lynch, Gyro’s in the whole 5,000. Hay, no one said he was the smartest troll around, if there is such a thing, but Gyro knows a lot about guns and even more about bikes. He’s tink’in it’ll going to pay off on the back end. “If not, well it was damb fun!”

Good gameyesterday, everyone did very well. We continue on Wednesday.

To my fellow teammates:

I feel ill. Our friend and comrade is died, and I can’t help but feel responsible. We all knew that this mission was going to be hard, really hard. (Looking at the worksheets Paul had made and the gleam in his eye…hell he even told us!) :wideeyes Our actions on the other hand made it seem as if we were going to a beach resort for a vacation. :eek The amount of time we spent on recon, back ground checks, and planning wasn’t there. Last night we had ample time to do the job right. Paul was prepared, we were not. :mad We spent the first five hours dicking around and the last one to come up with the original plan of a bum-rush. The same plan we always use.

Some gave up and got bored; then blamed everyone else for their lack of interest, :cry others weren’t using their potential, :cool and the rest got focused on something else and ran with it. :roll Basically we weren’t acting as a team.

We all knew the danger, even Black, but we’re the ones left holding the bag. Knowing we have done our friend and ourselves a grave injustice! :cry

We are being paid millions to do this job as professionals, so let’s act like professionals.

Let’s recognize how much work the GM has put into this run and that he meant it to be harder then the ones before. :wideeyes So let’s step up, or step off! We can avenge our friend, do our job, and get paid a lot of money if we just stay focused! :D

Gyro

P.S. Paul, Do you mean this Wednesday?

No next Wednesday as agreed.

Yo Gyro, Thats what I said as soon as we left the meet, This isn't a vacation we have to plan well or we are going to die. We are in a rough spot our best might not be good enough :conf

Sounds like C and me are on to something! Before next Wednesday let’s have a plan, or at lease some things we could try to save our asses. We are on an island so there really isn’t anywhere to run. I think we need to regroup and take charge. If Jack can get some help from his sexual dominatrix that would help…A LOT! Jack also needs to use that sword to cut down those fucking elementals. We obviously need to get C in control of the security system, and Grudge and I need to find our targets.

So first Jack either do some hack'in or get the dragon to help. While that’s going on Grudge and I will try to advance on the building with C to get him into the security room. We are down a man so I don’t know if I can stay with you C, I know it’s dangerous but, well, it’s all dangerous!

I know this is oversimplified to say the lease but it’s a start.
