Dude. Thanks Chuckles. That would've been a sucky thing to discover as we got to the first "Detour" sign.

Most likely from Cartoon Express.

The USA Network was sooo good to us. It gave us many forgotten favorites, like the Hanna Barberra Laffalympics.

Hey man, don't be dissing Cartoon Express. That gave us the classics like Jabberjaws and Space Ghost (on Fridays).

Uh, for those of us who are coming into the IND airport, could someone be so kind as to explain what all this means?

Basically a major restructuring of indianapolis highways. I'm not sure how it will affect getting to the convention center from the airport, but I don't think it will be a problem. This issue is rush hour.

I'm in Indy now, and Hyperfix completely screws all the major highways, and essentially the entire traffic pattern across the city. I'll see if I can figure out whether it bothers airport -> convention hotel traffic. I know those people coming this way from Chicago will need to consider alternate routes once they get close because I-65 (which evidently seems to head Chicago-ward) is totally closed beyond some certain point north. If anyone wants to know about specific routes, I'll see what I can figure out that isn't listed directly on the website as a change.

Somebody best start 'splainin' and quick! If something like infrastructure gets in the way of my mad freak out, there's gonna be hell to pay.

That and my driver has a bladder the size of a marmot! We need more time!

I lied. Mapquest directions from Chicago to Maryland & West in Indianapolis - or GenCon's directions should be fine. Hyperfix starts exactly where 65 and 70 merge in the middle of Indy. I misread the map and misunderstood the detour signs -- they just wanted to keep people from coming through downtown on the Interstates, even if its possible to get through. Why you wouldn't do that anyways is beyond me, but then, I usually use bypasses when available since they are, you know, faster and meant for bypassing the city.

Short update: Hyperfix looks like it might be finished by Monday (netting the construction company a $3.5 Million bonus) and as such may not even be an issue for GenCon. MooCow, you may want your local construction companies to look at these guys for inspiration, assuming they actually did a good job. ;)
