I mainly do these little snippets of blah to simulate the actual joys/rigors/tedium of travel, and give you guys the chance to interact a little...buy fruit from a passing cart, chit-chat, make checks concerning the weather, etc.
Or we can skip most of that and go on to the first serious encounter. What say? I'm easy either way.

Since I got my internet connection back much quicker than I expected, and was promptly poked by the GM when he saw me on, I'm asking to see if it's possible for me to rejoin the game. The reason why I was leaving permanently was the fact I had no idea where I was going to be living. So, not only do I now have an apartment with power, it's an apartment with power, phone and DSL.
So if folks want, I'll bring back my Awful Good paladin.

Always overeager to please, she somehow managed to work out a peace treaty between two groups who have been fighting each other for generations in less than a day. Maybe there's something to be said for those Paladins of Lathander after all.

Everyone feel free to use aTorin. I know that has been asore spot in other PB3 games for other players. Do not hesitate to use Torin in your posts. I think there is more than enough posted here and In Artistic Liscense to let you have a good feel for him.
Plus if you do anything I really object to, well I can always PM you and ask for an edit.

So, is Koriel muttering while she's awake?Koriel wrote:It was the sound of Luadril's voice that woke her, something she was quite attuned to. Koriel made no movement from her spot in the trees, the only sign of her wakefulness the glint of the sparse light reflecting off her violet eyes. The conversation below continued, and Koriel made no noise that might overshadow any hints of this sound that had Torin worried.

Where the hell did this come from? It's been a couple of months since I made any comment about this game whatsoever. So, bite me. I wasn't even intending to be offensive. If I had been, I'd have said a lot more than, "Gee, there's a lot of winged elves in this game."Reika wrote:With regards to 32's posts... if you don't like what we're doing, don't read the thread.
Or maybe, as in this case, you're misinterpreting the intent of things I've said to conform more with your preconceptions about my personality and behavior.Reika wrote:You seem to be very condescending and snarky lately, maybe you should take a break from things on Bulldrek?

It's coming down at an angle, cutting above the trees into the clearing, centered on your fire, making a roughly ovoid circle ten feet in diameter. It's coming from the general direction of the village and the Lost Peaks, some miles distant, from at least a few hundred feet in the air.
Incidentally, you're all still within the area of the light, since none of you have mentioned your characters moving /out/ of it.
Oh, and Raz, while you don't know any details yet, the point the light is radiating from is Overwhelming.

Posted, but let me explain a little. I think that unless we know this village is necassary, to stop in we should pass it by, and keep moving. Torin doesn't know this, but figures that if they could find us once and try and beam us, well they could do it again.
Perosnally my own thoughts, with all the information posted so far, is we move out, with our winged folk in a wedge style formation and the rest of us trailing as fast as we can. (A sort of movement to contact pace.) If we find anything to make us stop, then cool, but if not then lets move forward as fast as we can.
I admit I may not have all the information. I tried to keep Torin's post true to character. He's fine with going to the village, not out of any altruistic measures, but he'd go for a hot bath and an Inn. And some beer.

<rolls a d20>As far as you can determine, the effect was an evocation. The lingering traces at the site of the effect extend back through the air, toward the village, to a point slightly beyond the village...perhaps five miles distant as the flying snake flies, and hundreds of feet in the air. The source is overwhelmingly powerful...an artifact, surely, or else a diety.

Since it's near the village, that's why I was considering stopping there for info, but we'd have to wait for people to wake up, unless the light was bright enough to disturb them. Locals can be surprising fonts of knowledge, especially the old geezers sitting on the porch of the local tavern swapping stories.
