The Unpublishable
http://the-unpublishable.com
Most of you will rightly ignore this, but I've started up a weekly writing blog, which will feature original fiction every Friday. I got tired of submitting shit to magazines, e-zines, and anthologies and getting rejected (even the free e-zines have standards, it seems), so I'm just going to say "fuck it" and free. The doodles and music are just to keep it from looking so frickin' sparse, I doubt any of y'all here will care much for that one way or another.

I've read a few of these, and I think some of it is very good. And I'm not a very forgiving audience. I can offer some more in-depth feedback if that's the kind of thing you're after.
One bit of advice, though: I think you've got the wrong attitude about this whole thing. From the name of the project, to your commentary in this forum ["None of you read this, so I'm posting out of habit or spite.", etc], it's all so negative and defeatist, which isn't endearing to your audience or your prospective publishers. Yeah, it sucks to be turned down, but you know who has to deal with that? Every published writer on the planet. There comes a point when you have to ask yourself, "why am I doing this?" If it's to have stuff published and to profit from it, well, I suggest finding a new hobby. If the answer is, "because it's a true passion of mine, and it enriches my life", then, yeah, keep at it. And you just might find that, if you care enough about it, some other people might also. At that point, though, if it's adding value to your life, then you've already won. Just some friendly advice.

when you play;
and the rain it always starts
when you go away

Today on the Unpublishable, a piece of financial fiction: Balancing the Book http://www.the-unpublishable.com/2011/0 ... -book.html
I know "financial fiction" isn't really a genre, but I like to try something new every now and again.
