Was anyone intending to bring their stereo with to the Gathering?
One time I built a matter transporter, but things got screwed up (long story, lol) and I ended up turning into a kind of half-human, half-housefly monstrosity.
I'm bringing an MP3/CD player, I can plug it in the wall, but I'd need to have someone bring some computer speakers or something in order for it to actually make noise. If someone could do that, at least one cabin is provided for.
I can if no one else is going to, but space is an issue with our van full of people. Also, could someone see their way clear to haul a DVD player with them?

"Are you alright?"
"I'm a little fucked up in general so its hard to tell."
I have speakers covered if someone would be willing to supply a decent reciever... over 400w rms, aluminum cones... we could crank it. I was planning on buying a 600w amp soon, but it's due in a week or so after the gathering...

Cazmonster points at all of the other nice families that have shelled out just as much money as the bulldrekkers have to enjoy their vacations.

So, can I get someone to 'aye' me on bringing some pc-speakers? They shouldn't feed off of the residual current of the mp3-player, but rather have a plug of their own, that's the only thing I'm requesting, then my cabin will be good to go.
